A Dozen Blessings

Fresh off the doctor newsprint: I’m all clear on my big annual cancer checkup! That means I’ve just rounded up 12 years being cancer free! A dozen blessings of living in remission that I’ve been savoring since the end of the summer in 2007.

This news is more than welcomed as I continue my struggles and re-adjustment to life with an autoimmune illness. Somewhere deep inside I want to believe in the benevolence of the Universe that allows me to stay here on Earth, even in a half-broken shape sometimes, to still be present in my child’s life and watch him evolve on his own journey; and to still be able to craft whatever creations I decide to make, to weave my words into stories and printed recipes; and to lead my clients toward their own healing path; and to touch your hearts so together we can immerse into a world of make believe and fairly tales, even if for a moment, where imagination soars and harsh reality disappears, where dreams reside and possibilities are endless.
