It’s Scorpio Season
Guess what time it is? It’s Scorpio season! The Sun just entered the sign of Scorpio earlier this week and will stay there till late November so I’m doing my annual shoutout to all my fellow zodiac birthday peeps.
But first, let’s talk about astrology in general. Are you one of those people who don’t believe in it? Aww that’s cute! And I’m one of those people who don’t believe in gravity. I’m a free flowing speck of a stardust. Gravity is vastly overrated and doesn’t affect me.
Seriously though, astrology is actually governed by very strict scientific laws and mathematical calculations, just like the rest of the sciences. The ancients used it along with mathematics and physics to learn about both the earthly matters and people. Astrology use reappeared a couple decades ago, though it never completely went away of course. People just became interested in it again as it definitely governs personalities and dictates the behavior and circumstances, whether you believe in it or not.
Fun fact: many Presidents officially employ professional astrologers and use proper astrological transits to plan or to react/counteract to certain things. When people think about astrology and human behavior, they erroneously concentrate just on the Sun sigh (the astrological season of your birthday), but in fact, many more details (planets/transits) make up each individual personality and compatibility with other people. Your Sun sign may be your inner core but it’s the Rising sign, or Ascendant, what determines your outer shell, the face you show to the world, your physical body and how others see you. The Rising sign is determined by a rising (visible) constellation at the moment of your birth, so you need to know your exact birth time and birth place in order to calculate that. And still, a lot more determines your personality, your Moon sign (how you express emotions), your Venus sign (how you act in relationships and give/receive love), your Mars sign (how you act), your Mercury sign (how you communicate), your Saturn sign (how you deal with obstacles and challenges), your Jupiter sign (how you respond to a push for expansion in any area). Uranus (how you deal with changes and disruptions, both good and bad), Neptune (how you connect to spiritual world) and Pluto (how you deal with transformation and the dark side of your own soul) are considered generational planets as their orbits are very slow and entire generations have these planets in the same sign. All Zodiac signs are divided into four elements: Water (emotional), Air (analytical), Earth (practical), and Fire (energy); and three Positions: Cardinal (when things are initiated, think Equinoxes or Solstices), Mutable (when things get sorted out and organized), and Fixed (when things get acted on and produced).
See, how much you’re learning today!
So, as you already know, my Sun sign is in Scorpio, and I’m a November born one, a true Scorpio I believe, but I’m biased too. I actually have a Scorpio stellium (when 3 or more planets are in the same sign), so I have an over-abundance of Scorpio energy. Scorpio is a Water sign (emotional), Fixed (stubborn AF), passionate (some say we’re sex obsessed but we’re just good at it 😍), extremely loyal (if you know a Scorpio, you’ve got a friend for life and the one you can trust and rely on), razor sharp intuitive so lying to us is futile, driven and proactive (or manipulative, depending on a person), a detective and a reseacher (we want to know every possible little detail about the things we’re interested in, but, when we’re not, they literally don’t exist, nothing in between), but also very vulnerable (we do not like opening up to people so, if you’ve had full on conversations about life and deep stuff with me, I practically adore you, and trust you, that means you’re among a very few chosen people who’ve seen glimpses of my soul).
Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto, planets of action and death/rebirth transformation cycles. Scopio is often called as indestructible as a rising Phoenix so I hope this gives me energy and will to claw myself out of every black hole life has been throwing me into. Eventually I’ll climb out of every challenge and bask in the Sun.
My Rising sign is actually Aquarius. People mistakenly think it’s a Water sign but the Water bearer is an Air sign (analytical and mental energy), and another Fixed sign (I’m double stubborn AF, so, good luck changing my mind or making me do something unless I actually agree with you, but if I do make something for you, be assured, it’s genuine). So, my whole personality is mostly emotions (Scorpio) and intellect (Aquarius). Aquarius is a sign of innovation and breakthrough and Aquarius people are generally a bit (or a lot) “out there”, “out of the box” thinkers, people who march to their own drum, exotic and exquisite personalities, curious and imaginative, able to rise up and see the big picture. So, the very passionate and detailed oriented Scorpio me along with “I see the big picture” imaginative and an inventor Aquarius Rising me, plus my “I want to talk about deep subjects and things that matter but with a side of sarcasm and some passionate romantic innuendoes “ Mercury in Scorpio and my striving for balance and social graces Mars and Moon in Libra (the Scales) decided to create this blog and has maintained it, rather successfully, for the past six and a half years. 😊
There’s also a magical trait Scorpio people possess: we’re always right. Even when we’re wrong, we’re still right, or we’ll make it so. Other people may be wrong, but not a Scorpio.
When a Taurus (my May born kid), for example, apologies, it’s really just to get his food back.
And a Virgo (September born people) will really just give you a lecture how we should’ve listened to them. They’re often right though.
And this is what happens when a Scorpio apologizes.
Exactly! We don’t need to apologize, we’re always right!
Another fun fact: the two most represented signs among the American Presidents are Scorpio and Aquarius. Scorpio happens to be the most prevalent sign among all world leaders.
Do you think I’m just quietly sitting here stirring my cooking pots and composing sob stories? Nope! I’m secretly devising a world domination plan!
You know what else is very Scorpio-like? Writing about astrology, especially during Scorpio season.
While you’re reading about my deep astrology explorations, I’m pondering what kind of cake I should have for my birthday next month. 🎂
What kind of cake do you think I should have for my birthday? Email me to let me know. We have three weeks to prepare.
But it has to be legendary! Just like me! 😊
