To All The Girls

Today is March 8, International Women’s Day. It’s an obscure holiday here in the US, but it’s widely known and celebrated in Europe, especially Eastern Europe.

The meaning of it is to celebrate all women, young and old, and men are the ones to come with congratulatory wishes and gifts. It’s kind of like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day combined in one celebration. Men usually bring flowers, chocolates, perfume (and lingerie sometimes 🙂 ).

I actually love this holiday very much and wish it’d be celebrated in the US too. Valentine’s Day is focused on romantic love and couples, and Mother’s Day is all about mothers, but what about women who never had children or are not in a relationship, and what about  young girls?!

So, to all the Women and all the Girls, rock on, you are awesome!
