Baby, It’s Cold!
I’m so not ready for this winter! I’m still traumatized from the last one. And the way the weather predictions go, we are in for yet another cold and snowy season.
I was totally hibernating at home this weekend, had zero desire to go anywhere. It was cold, and rainy and completely miserable outside. So it was movies and cooking weekend. Actually, come to think of it, every weekend is a cooking weekend.
Now with the cold weather closing in more and more, we crave something substantial and satisfying. I usually try to provide both substance and nutritional value. Some of the dishes making appearance in my kitchen this week.
Baked chicken with parsnips and dry fruits – great cold weather dish. I’ll be posting this recipe soon.
Lazy Saturday breakfast.
A variation of one of my favorite meal, chicken and quinoa. Find a similar recipe on the Recipe Index page.
A wholesome weekday breakfast to take along. I’ll be posting this recipe soon also.
Dinner full of iron. I know you just went “liver? hell, no!”, but don’t refuse it till you try it. Calf’s liver is very sweet and tender. Hey, it’s a delicacy in both Russia and France. What do you think all those different kinds of pate are made of?!
Plus my iron is always in a low state, and there’s just so much spinach I can eat in a day.
Cant forget dessert either. Life would not be complete without sweet indulgences.
